Rushton's Outside
About Rushton's Outside
2007 saw the installation of a new kitchen at Rushton's Delicatessen and the start
of yet another business venture. Adam has teamed up with his best friend to start
a catering business called simply 'Rushton's Outside.'
The pair's background is impressive. They went to college together in Nottingham
and trained in hotel management. Afterwards they went their separate ways, Adam
to the Ritz in London to start his seven-year training on fine wines and Steve went
to Aspen, Colorado, creating dishes for private jet customers and the airport.
They teamed up again for a season on the Channel Islands running a kitchen and restaurant
for the busy summer season before again separating in the pursuit of higher things.
Steve set off working around the world, picking up culinary skills in South Africa,
Australia, Thailand and New Zealand. For the last 4 years he has been a private
chef on a yacht for a German multi-millionaire, again travelling the world learning
new dishes.
Adam went on to work in France. Gaining experience in three Michelin starred restaurants,
he worked as a Sommelier with the likes of John Christophe Novelli. Coming back
to England he worked in The Royal Crescent Hotel and then managed Merchants in Nottingham
before opening Rushton's Delicatessen on Stodman street, Newark. The deli has grown
from strength to strength, specializing in wedding cakes and hampers as well as
a stunning array of local and continental foods and treats.
Rushton's can also provide a bespoke celebration cake for the event.
It doesn't
have to be a full blown dinner party either; they can deliver anything from canapés
to a fantastic buffet to make your party or celebration the perfect event.
Just as importantly, Rushton's Outside use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
Rushtons won an award for outstanding customer service and are currently the Newark
Retailer of The Year.
